PLEASE NOTE: We use a bouquet from HEB Grocery Floral Department called the Lone Star Living Bouquet- every month. If you live in Texas you can pick one up to paint, if not you can purchase similar flowers to paint OR use our printable reference photos.

Here is the May Lone Star Living Bouquet on the windy day I bought it to paint. It's a real statement and full of vibrant color. The Lone Star Living Bouquet PLUS your own art are the PERFECT gift for Mom on Mother's Day, she will enjoy her flowers long after the bouquet fades.

Did you know May is officially the Appreciation Month? Art + flowers are the the best kind of gift to show someone special you care and appreciate them. Why not consider a gift of your own art + flowers for a special teacher, best friend or great neighbor? You can create your own 'appreciation' gifts this month by joining us online to paint flowers expressively, at your own pace!

BONUS! May has a surprise succulent! After your bouquet fades:

  1. take out the 'wick' from the succulent
  2. place it root side down, in a small bowl of water for approx. two to three weeks, until it grows roots
  3. keep the bowl and water clean by rinsing and adding fresh water in the bowl now and then
  4. after a few weeks the roots will begin to sprout and you can pot it
  5. add potting soil to a planter with drainage and plant your succulent
  6. or you can plant the rooted succulent in your garden; watch it a few weeks and 'baby it along' to allow it to 'root' into the ground.

OPTIONS FOR THE BOUQUET IN YOUR STILL LIFE SET UP:
